In May 2015, I spent a week with Cornell Evolutionary Biologist Sahas Barve at his high altitude field site in the spectacular Kedarnath Wild Life Sanctuary in Uttarakhand. This was one of the most beautiful landscapes I have ever trekked in — Oak, chir pine, birch and rhododendron forests and, of course, the fabulous alpine meadows. Special thanks to budding bird guide from Mandal, Harish Maithani.
The landscape images are hosted in the non wildlife gallery.
