Bandipur & Ooty, Apr 2012

This gallery combines Bandipur and Ooty. The Ooty visit was for the rare and elusive wintering Kashmir Flycatcher.

My friend Eldhose KV (of Thattekad, Kerala) joined me to look for the bird. After a 3-hour search we located a couple of Individuals in a small degraded patch just outside Ooty town. Bandipur is a convenient base at the foothills of Ooty and I did a couple of safaris before heading to Ooty. During the misty morning safari, we spotted a handsome male leopard marking its territory with not a care in the world! The images are arranged in the same order the last few being the ones from Ooty.
