Hebbal Lake, Bangalore, 2004

Common Kingfisher photographed from a hide in Hebbal lake INP members VS Suresh and Clement Francis had erected a 2-man tent next to a perch in Hebbal lake. Very soon this tent gained tremendous popularity amongst bird photographers in Bangalore. My turn came along and I spent an hour one morning inside the tent with my lens sticking out a few feet from the perch. The tiny jewel came soon enough, and, quite oblivious to the lens, went about its morning activities – some of those captured in this album.
