Jungle Lodges opened the Bandipur Safari Lodge in early 2004. In December 2003, we were part of a recce team that visited the lodge to 'check it out'. The rooms weren't ready and we stayed at the FRH near the Bandipur sanctuary reception.
The 3-days was great fun. Our activities included several jeep safaris (that included several close shaves with elephants!), trekking in the Moyar gorge and near Gopalswami betta - the tallest peak in the area.
